All positions work on Expressions Community Theater productions and report to the Arts Center Manager

This is a general application for theatre staff. LAAC and Expressions are always looking to expand the creative team. Specific positions are hired per production.

In addition to teaching, you will contribute to promoting classes and represent the Arts Center at community events, exhibitions, and outreach activities, further strengthening our connection to the community. Candidates must have a high school diploma or G.E.D and a degree, or coursework leading to a degree, in art or art education, or equivalent experience in art or art education

Candidates must have 1-2 years of teaching experience in a classroom or workshop setting teaching visual arts to students, and have strong time management, communication, and customer service skills. 2026 Art Instructor pay rates are $31.07-37.05 per hour, DOQ. Pottery Instructor Pottery Instructors teach pottery to students of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced potters, guiding them through techniques such as wheel throwing, hand-building, glazing, and surface decoration

You will be responsible for managing the pottery studio environment and ensuring safe and effective use of tools and equipment. You will develop engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and provide hands-on demonstrations that inspire creativity and technical growth. Candidates must have a high school diploma or G.E.D and a degree, or coursework leading to a degree, in art or art education, or equivalent experience in art or art education
