Job description

Under supervision of the Manager/Key Holder will assist with daily cash register operations and customer service in the Mobil gas station/convenience store and registering RV guests. You will be held responsible for all monies and transactions. Be responsible for light maintenance with opening and closing procedures. Ensures that guest receive a professional, positive and memorable experience while visiting Meteor Crater RV Park.
Requirements
Customer Service:
Handles customer complaints; addresses complaints and resolves problems. Reports all major customer complaints to Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.
Assisting customers and ringing up purchases in the convenience store for food/gift items and gasoline.
Registering guests and campers for the RV Park.
Provide exceptional service by assisting with customer needs, answering queries, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.
Actively engage with customers to promote sales, products, and events.
Process returns and exchanges according to store policy.
Product & Promotion Knowledge:
Stay informed about current sales, promotions, and upcoming events.
Cashiering:
Responsible for driving department sales, managing cash receipts, and accurately maintaining sales transaction records.
Count opening and closing monies to balance with sales totals and amounts.
Responsible for all cash and credit card transactions.
Loss Prevention:
Provide excellent customer service and respectful monitoring of the sales floor to reduce and prevent theft. For safety purposes, employees are not to engage with suspected shoplifters as a means to recover products.
Suspicion or evidence of internal theft should immediately be reported to the Store Manager.
Team Support:
Support in opening and closing the store by completing assigned tasks within your scope of duties.
Provide coverage for colleagues during lunches and breaks as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Help train and support new team members as instructed.
Maintains a good communication with co-workers and maintains a positive and professional work environment.
Provide assistance during peak hours and special events as needed.
Attend regular store meetings for better communication and performance.
Store Operations:
Responsible for ensuring employee adherence to company policies and promptly reporting any incidents to the RV Park Manager.
Open and close the store, including counting tills and completing required paperwork accurately. You are expected to report discrepancies to the RV Park Manager immediately.
Assists in maintaining Back Office Software to ensure accurate monthly inventory.
Assists with managing day to day operation.
Visual Merchandising:
Develops and maintains the planograms and displays; ensures accuracy of shop signage and pricing.
Assist with placing new products in the store and support visual merchandising changes.
Assist in setting up and changing visual displays under the direction of the RV Park Manager & Supervisor.
Communicates the needs of inventory of supplies, materials and equipment to the RV Park Manager.
Inventory Management:
Assists in product mark-up rates, discounts on aging merchandise, and selling prices for categories as instructed.
Ensure that the inventory is stocked on shelves and organized appropriately.
Performs inventory audits as instructed by RV Park Manager.
Store Cleaning & Maintenance:
Responsible for maintaining a clean presentable store, outside, and storage area along side all other staff members.
Compliance & Policies:
Performs other duties as required.
Responsible for performing opening and closing tasks.
Must wear complete RV Park uniform including (name tag, earpiece).
Ensure that the inventory is stocked on shelves and organized appropriately.
Essential
High School Diploma or GED required.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, as well as a background check.
Possess a current, valid Arizona Driver's License.
Obtain a Coconino County Food Handlers permit.
Reliable transportation is required.
Work is generally performed in a public setting with a moderate noise level as well as a retail setting with higher noise levels. Prolonged standing and walking may be required. Tight time constraints and multiple demands are common. Working weekends, nights and holidays are a possiblity due to the needs of the facility. Other duties assigned by Director or VP of Operations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee occasionally is required to sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
