We're seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Engineer who is ready to take the lead on a variety of civil/site development projects and deliver thoughtful and effective civil/site design solutions. This role is based out of our Westminster, Colorado office.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of civil engineering projects with minimal supervision.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships through regular communication, collaboration, and responsive problem-solving.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of project proposals, cost estimates, and schedules.
  • Oversee and assign responsibilities to team members to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
  • Perform detailed QA/QC checks on technical deliverables and ensure compliance with design standards.
  • Navigate entitlement and permitting processes, including rezoning, special/conditional use permits, site plan approvals, and construction document approvals.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and ensuring high-quality output.
  • Manage project budgets, invoicing, and coordination with sub-consultants.
  • Support business development, participate in industry events and maintain existing client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in site/civil design, with a strong portfolio of retail, commercial, public sector, and residential projects.
  • Expertise in site layout, grading, storm drainage, stormwater management, water and sewer utilities, and erosion control.
  • In-depth knowledge of local entitlement and permitting regulations.
  • Proficiency in technical design software: Autodesk Civil 3D (required), Hydraflow Storm Sewers/Hydrographs, WaterCAD, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate with diverse project teams.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for client service.
  • Willingness to participate in professional development, local events, and community engagement.

Salary range: $85,000 - $110,000
