Principle Purpose of JobThe Activities Guide is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences by leading outdoor activities and providing knowledgeable recommendations on Ranch offerings. This role includes guiding guests in various outdoor adventures, facilitating activity reservations, and promoting retail merchandise and services. Activities Guides play a key role in enhancing guests' connections with the natural surroundings while ensuring safety, fun, and education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead group and individual activities, including archery, biathlon, and pioneer challenges.
  • Guide hiking, nature walks, trail running, and mountain biking excursions.
  • Provide engaging and informative experiences that highlight the Ranch's natural environment.
  • Assist guests with activity bookings, check-in, and check-out, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Promote and sell retail products, including clothing, accessories, and outdoor gear.
  • Educate guests on all available activities and make tailored recommendations.
  • Answer guest inquiries via phone and in person, handling reservations efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Activities Center, following housekeeping procedures.
  • Monitor safety protocols and ensure all activities are conducted in a responsible manner.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and team-building activities.
  • Stay informed about Ranch-wide operations to provide accurate recommendations to guests.
  • Assist with inventory restocking and daily operational tasks as needed.
  • Report to the Activities Manager for daily projects and additional assignments.

Requirements

  • Enthusiastic, personable, and guest-focused attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a dynamic environment.
  • Passion for outdoor recreation and guest service.
  • Previous experience in guiding outdoor activities is preferred.
  • Physical Requirements - Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for extended periods.
  • Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds regularly and more than 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and outdoor environments.

Compensation Description:$14.00 - $16.00/hr + tips Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.ย

Due to the nature of our 24-hour operation, there is no guaranteed work schedule. Managers will try to accommodate specific schedule requests, but they are never guaranteed if business volume prohibits.ย
