Position Summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is looking for an energetic Safety Engineer with strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and assist with identifying risks that support safety programs for one of the most advanced semiconductor facilities in the United States. Role and Responsibilities

Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Abilitytoanticipate,identify,andevaluatehazardousconditionsandpracticesduringtaskperformanceatasemiconductorfacility.

  • Develophazardcontroldesigns,methods,procedures,andprograms;andadviseandeducateothers.

  • Measureandevaluatetheeffectivenessofhazardcontrolelements.

  • Evaluationoftaskperformancetoensurecompliancewithsiteandregulatoryrequirements.

  • Documentandtrackresultstosupportsafetyprogramelements.

  • Conductincidentinvestigations,siteinspections,identifyrootcause,determinecorrectiveactions,andsupportimplementation.

  • Conductemployeetrainingforeducationonsitesafetyrequirements.

  • Conductmonthlymeetingswithsafetysub-committee.

  • Reviewandauditpre-taskplans,siteriskanalysesandstandardoperatingprocedures.

  • Assistwiththedailymanagementofthetieredauditingprogramincludingclosureoffacility'spreventativeandcorrectiveactionplans.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

  • 7+years'experienceinHealthandSafetyperformingsimilartasksrequired.
  • FamiliaritywithOSHARegulations(ConstructionandGeneralIndustry)andreportingguidelines.
  • PreferenceforexperienceinGeneralIndustryatasemiconductormanufacturing(FAB)facility.

The current base salary range for this role is between $76,000 - $145,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
