Prince's Paisley Park in Chanhassen, MN, seeks a skilled and responsible Production Associate. As a member of the Production Department, this position performs a variety of production, exhibit installation, and maintenance duties including, event production, sound and lighting support, stage setup, exhibit fabrication, and helping the Collections Department with the installation of museum exhibition experiences.Paisley Park is an active museum, state-of-the-art recording studio, and concert venue. For nearly 30 years, the facility served as Prince's home, creative sanctuary, and production complex. Fulfilling Prince's vision that Paisley Park would one day be open to the public, the venue today welcomes fans, musicians, and audiophiles for tours, concerts, festivals, and special events. ResponsibilitiesHelp plan, execute, and support the production of eventsPerform stage set-ups and assist with the removal of larger artifacts in event spacesSet up, operate, and strike event production equipment, including audio, lighting, staging, and related technical systemsWork alongside and assist other production companies during eventsCoordinate and assist with artist, performer, and production crew needs before, during, and after events.Prepare, transport, set up, and maintain backline equipment, including drums, amplifiers, keyboards, risers, and other performer support equipment as requiredAssist with event load-ins and load-outs, ensuring equipment and materials are handled safely and efficientlyConduct routine inspections and maintenance of production equipment and report repair needsRead and execute stage plots, production schedules, and event setup requirementsSupport rehearsals, sound checks, and live event operations as assignedCollaborate with catering and event planners to make sure their operational event needs are metWork closely with Paisley Park staff to support event and facility needsHelp to fabricate new and previously existing exhibits and artifact displaysAssist the Museum Collections team with the installation and movement of artifact displays and exhibition experiencesMoving, loading, unloading, and storing supplies, furniture, and equipment as neededOrganization of off-site warehouse spaceJob-related errands, which may include various shops, supply pick-ups, and material sourcingOther duties as assigned QualificationsA minimum of 5 years experience with live event production, concert staging, backline equipment, or theatrical production preferredKnowledge of professional audio, lighting, and staging equipmentAbility to work well with your handsAbility to work efficiently in repetitive work environments and follow established proceduresExcellent attention to detailKnowledge of Microsoft Windows software is helpfulAbility to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing prioritiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentialityAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a teamAbility to perform effectively under deadlines and competing prioritiesForklift experience and/or certification is preferredValid driver's license and reliable transportation required Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift at least 50 - 75 lbsMust be comfortable standing or walking for long periods of timeAbility to climb ladders and work safely at heightsAbility to work in confined spaces and hard-to-reach areasComfortable working in a physically demanding environment HoursMonday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM working hours to include some weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime as required based on the event schedule.
