Position Overview

Kiewit Offshore Services (KOS) is seeking an Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for complex projects. As an estimator, you will collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction team to analyze project requirements, evaluate risk, and prepare detailed proposals that support successful project execution.

District Overview

Kiewit Offshore Services, a district (or business unit) of Kiewit Corporation that builds structurally complex jackets and topsides for offshore oil drilling rigs. Located in Ingleside, TX, just 20 minutes outside of Corpus Christi, the 550-acre fabrication yard is home to impressive operations year-round. Location

This position is located at Kiewit Offshore Services (KOS) in Ingleside, TX.

Responsibilities

Review, analyze, and interpret Contract Documents (RFP, specifications, etc.).

Perform all tasks related to quantity takeoff and pricing of design-build projects in the Oil, Gas, and Chemical market.

Coordinate with estimators and engineers/designers to provide constructability input and value engineering for preliminary project plans.

Participate in Task Force Meetings, brainstorms, and working sessions with estimators and engineers/designers.

Identify, quantify, and communicate Risk throughout the estimating process.

Participate in pre-bid, pre-construction, and post project completion meetings.

Meet productivity and timeline goals for bids produced, be able to meet scheduled deadlines.

Performing site visits and investigations as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in construction management, Engineering or related degree preferred

GPA above 3.0 preferred

0-2 years' experience in estimating

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Possess strong mathematical and computer skills

Must be able to meet deadlines and have excellent time management skills

Effective oral and written communication skills

Candidates must possess a strong work ethic

Work independently as well as part of a team

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
