Position SummaryThe Clinical Dietitian is responsible for providing comprehensive nutrition services to residents in a long-term care environment. This role partners closely with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver resident-centered nutrition care that supports overall health, wellness, and quality of life.
Using the Nutrition Care Process (NCP), the Clinical Dietitian will assess nutritional needs, develop individualized care plans, implement evidence-based interventions, and monitor resident outcomes to ensure the highest level of care.
Responsibilities- Complete nutrition assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition education.
- Monitor resident progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Complete required MDS and nutrition documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ensure compliance with CMS, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, or related field.
- Completion of an ACEND-approved dietetics program and supervised practice.
- Registration eligible and able to obtain required licensure within one year of employment.
- Long-term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, or healthcare experience preferred.
