Job Overview

Lancaster's Custom Dock & Lift Systems, Inc. is actively seeking a skilled Marine Pile Driver to join our field operations team in Troutman, North Carolina. This role plays a vital part in constructing luxury docks and waterfront structures across Lake Norman and the surrounding areas. We are seeking Marine Pile Drivers with experience using a drop hammer, capable of safely and efficiently handling and setting marine piling operations in varying conditions. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working on the water and in dynamic outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate pile driving equipment, including drop hammer systems, for marine construction
  • Install pilings for docks, lifts, and related marine structures
  • Read and interpret blueprints, job plans, and layout designs
  • Safely and efficiently work from barges, docks, and over water
  • Assist in loading, transporting, and setting up pile driving equipment and materials
  • Monitor and maintain proper alignment and depth of pilings
  • Work with the construction team to align piling operations with project timelines
  • Maintain safe and clean work environments in line with company standards
  • Operate a boat safely and efficiently when transporting crew or materials
  • Assist with other carpentry or marine construction tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marine construction or related heavy equipment operation
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with drop hammer pile driving is strongly preferred
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Experience operating a boat safely is required
