We are seeking enthusiastic and fun-loving individuals to work in our school age childcare programs located in Lexington, KY. The YMCA of Central Kentucky is looking for compassionate, reliable, experienced individuals who enjoy working with children to become leaders for our thriving school age child care program. Our team collaborates to provide programs that foster a child's social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth.
The YMCA of Central Kentucky's part-time School Age Child Care Site Director provides direct supervision of staff and is responsible for the successful daily operation of quality school age child care programs for after school sites. The Site Director will work in collaboration with schools to achieve the Association's goals related to all Youth & Family services; provide programs that foster children's social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth; and ensure the health, welfare and safety of program participants.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Implement a culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate curriculum that creates a positive, nurturing environment, keeping current with new trends and quality programming
- Ensure employees and volunteers receive required training, resolve all matters that may arise with parents, children, staff and volunteers, and evaluate effectiveness of all programs, keeping with the YMCA core values
- Plan daily, weekly and monthly lesson plans and assist staff with implementation
- Maintain daily records essential for control, evaluation and reporting of the program
- Supervise staff and adherence to all policies and procedures, including YMCA and state licensing standards
Provide "hands-on" leadership to youth program activities for successful operation, including control and maintenance of supplies and inventor
