Who are we?

Torus Americas Inc, located in Golden, Colorado, is part of Torus Group. The Group delivers measurement systems to leading industries around the world including metal packaging, plastic packaging, aerospace, automotive, pharmaceutical, and medical industries. Utilizing 25 years of metrology expertise, we custom design automated inspection and testing systems which enable clients to control high speed processes, reduce costs, and maintain quality in demanding environments.


What are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical / Electrical Service Engineer to join our team. A high-level understanding of Mechanical / Electrical systems is required to assist our service department in the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of Torus equipment.


This is a remote position with +80% travel. Ideal candidate would be in Indiana, Missouri or Ohio. Candidate should live in proximity to a major airport.


‘Day in the life’:

  • Work closely with management to maximize efficiency of position.
  • Install new equipment and provide operator training.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment.
  • Perform emergency/on call maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot faulty equipment and upgrade obsolete components.
  • Maintain toolbox inventory and equipment.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Recommend technical and product improvements to internal design team.
  • Work directly with customers and create all necessary paperwork (Reports, testing, certificates, etc.)
  • Read blueprints and electrical/pneumatic schematics.
  • Communicates with customers directly by phone or email to help resolve problems remotely during breakdown cover/on call weeks.
