  • Maintain growing records, crop logs, and yield data for each production cycle

Team Leadership

  • Directly supervise and mentor a team of 23 greenhouse workers
  • Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and provide hands-on training
  • Foster a safe, collaborative, and productive working environment
  • Coordinate crew schedules to align with harvest windows and operational demands

Supply Consistency & Quality

  • Maintain steady, predictable harvest volumes to meet buyer commitments and supply agreements
  • Grade, pack, and manage post-harvest handling to minimize losses and maintain freshness standards
  • Liaise with operations management on sales commitments, volume forecasts, and delivery scheduling
  • Identify and resolve any supply gaps or crop failures quickly and proactively

Compliance & Certification

  • Uphold all USDA National Organic Program (NOP) standards and assist with annual certification audits
  • Maintain compliance documentation including spray logs, input records, and traceability files
Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 35 years of hands-on experience in commercial greenhouse vegetable production
  • Demonstrated experience managing a team in an agricultural or horticultural setting
  • Strong working knowledge of organic growing inputs, soil health, and IPM
  • Proven ability to maintain consistent crop yields and meet supply commitments
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor: lifting, standing, and working in a greenhouse environment
