Direct Support Professional (Part-Time) Flexible Schedule

About the Role:
X-Tra Mile Residential Care is seeking a dedicated and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an adult individual in a home-based setting. This role focuses on promoting independence, assisting with daily living skills, and providing consistent encouragement and structure. The ideal candidate is patient, motivated, and able to adapt to a flexible and sometimes changing schedule. Alexis/Secor Area.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on support with daily living activities, including household tasks and routine organization
  • Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and structured home environment
  • Offer reminders and support related to personal care and hygiene routines
  • Encourage independence, decision-making, and life skills development
  • Support community integration and positive social interactions
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with agency and state guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding schedule changes, concerns, or progress
Requirements:
  • Must be dependable, patient, and able to work independently in a home setting
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain professional boundaries
  • Ability to navigate and remain professional in a shared living environment
  • Must be comfortable providing prompts and reminders related to personal care routines
