Beta Care Services CT is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide direct support to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Position Details
Location: New Britain, CT
Schedule: 14 Hours per Week
- Monday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Wednesday: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Friday: 4:00p-9:00 PM
Position Summary
The Direct Support Professional provides individualized support to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in their homes and communities. Services are designed to promote independence, skill development, community integration, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting individuals with personal care and daily living activities.
- Supporting participation in community outings, recreational activities, and social events.
- Providing transportation to medical appointments, vocational programs, and community activities.
- Assisting with meal preparation, household chores, and maintaining a safe living environment.
- Implementing individualized service plans and supporting personal goals.
- Providing supervision and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served.
- Completing required documentation, daily notes, and electronic records accurately and timely.
- Observing and reporting changes in physical, emotional, or behavioral health.
- Responding appropriately to emergencies and applying CPR/First Aid procedures when necessary.
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA, DDS, and agency policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- CPR/FIRST AID Certification
- Ability to pass required background screenings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.

Compensation
$19.50 – $20.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and certifications.
