Overview:

The Cook 3 provides the foundational support necessary for successful kitchen operations. This role focuses on high-volume preparation, ingredient fabrication, and inventory management to ensure the line team is fully equipped for service within our upscale lifestyle hotel. Working under the direction of the Sous Chef, the Cook 3 maintains the cleanliness and organization of the prep area and storage facilities to uphold our "Culture of Care" standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Culinary Support:
  • Perform bulk preparation tasks including washing, peeling, dicing, and portioning.
  • Prepare basic sauces and garnishes as directed by the culinary leadership team.
  • Receive and store deliveries, verifying quality and ensuring proper FIFO rotation.
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Maintain a valid Utah Food Handler Permit.
  • Follow all OSHA standards regarding chemical usage and equipment safety.
  • General Maintenance:
  • Maintain a neat, organized, and well-stocked prep area and linen closet.
  • Assist with moving heavy equipment or supplies as requested by management
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a professional kitchen or line cook role, preferably within an upscale lifestyle hospitality environment.

Skills:

  • High attention to detail and commitment to culinary excellence.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the line team.
