PROMAN Staffing has partnered with a well-known manufacturer in Melrose Park, IL!
We are now hiring experienced CNC Lathe Setup/Programmers who are team players, versatile, and dependable. This role is a DIRECT HIRE.
CNC Lathe Setup/Programmer Job Summary
Pay rate: $38.00/hr + 10% night shift premium
Shift: Night shift
Program and set up CNC lathes using Mazatrol conversational controls on Power Master or equivalent machines (M5N), performing frequent setups and changeovers in a short-run, high-mix environment
Handle complete machine setups on 4-jaw manual chucks up to 40" in diameter as the CNC Lathe Setup/Programmer on the line, including tailstocks and manual steady rests
Operate double-turret CNC lathes, independently running both turrets for OD and ID machining, machining parts with tight tolerances down to ±0.0005 in.
CNC Lathe Setup/Programmer Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience programming and setting up CNC lathes on Power Master or equivalent machines
Skilled in machining non-standard length-to-diameter parts and interpreting engineering drawings for precision work
Experience machining a range of materials, including aluminum, bronze, carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, and high-temp alloys
Able to troubleshoot machining and setup issues independently to minimize downtime
