Introduction

Established in 1918, Guardian Service Industries is a 4th generation family-owned Janitorial, Security, Pest Control, and Engineering & Operations staffing corporation. We provide a comprehensive range of essential facility management services to over 1,000 clients across various sectors, inclusive of commercial and government buildings, residential communities, schools, industrial facilities, transportation hubs, and retail outlets throughout the East Coast and New England.


The Role:

Most/all of the following service tasks are to be completed daily depending on your role.


Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday

Shift: 9:00am - 6:00pm (1 Hour Lunch)

Pay rate: $25.00 - $27.00 / hr


Responsibilities & Skills:

  • Repair systems such as HVAC, heating, refrigeration, water, and energy as necessary
  • Repair bathroom fixtures such as sinks, bathtubs and toilet as necessary
  • Maintain and/or replace integral fixtures such as door hardware, compactors, and trash chutes.
  • Maintain quality of paint in equipment rooms as well as other building facilities
  • Perform general electrical work as necessary
  • Perform general carpentry work as necessary
  • Perform general maintenance and cleaning in mechanical spaces and perimeter inductions units
  • Inspect fire safety systems for any potential issues to functioning
  • Maintain and repair sanitary sewer systems such as sump pumps, basins, water closets, urinals and piping
  • Maintain and repair all kitchen equipment, excluding any equipment owned by tenants
  • Remain available in the instance that the superintendent of the building is unavailable
  • Complete assigned "work orders", including, but not limited to: moving of office-related furniture, equipment and supplies on an as-needed basis; requests for delivery of extra bottles of water for water coolers during the day; and cleaning the interiors of small office refrigerators and defrost periodically. Work orders will also include tasks related to function set-ups and take downs.

Education and Experience:

  • Any permits or licenses required by law or code (e.g., refrigeration license, etc.)

The requirements:

Basic knowledge of

HVAC

Electrical

Painting

Plumbing

Plus if have at least 1 year of experience working in high-rise buildings.

MUST HAVE FSM LICENSE


The position may consist of continual lifting and moving of equipment and furniture
