How much do live in anger management counselor jobs pay per hour?

As of Jul 14, 2026, the average hourly pay for live in anger management counselor in Rochester, NY is $23.15, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $19.23 and $25.87 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

How to become an anger management counselor?

To become an anger management counselor, typically one needs a relevant bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work, followed by obtaining certification such as the Certified Anger Management Specialist (CAMS). Gaining experience through supervised practice and developing strong interpersonal skills are also important for this role.

What field of counseling makes the most money?

In counseling, clinical psychologists and psychiatrists tend to earn the highest salaries, often exceeding other counseling roles due to advanced degrees and licensure requirements. While live-in anger management counselors typically earn less, specialization in mental health fields with advanced certifications can lead to higher income levels.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

Live-in anger management counselors typically earn less than $4,000 a week, as their pay depends on experience, location, and client load. High-paying roles that can reach or exceed this amount without a degree often include specialized trades like commercial pilots, real estate brokers, or sales managers, which may require licenses or certifications but not necessarily a college degree.

What is the 3 month rule for jobs?

The 3 month rule for a live-in anger management counselor typically refers to a probation or trial period of three months to assess performance and fit for the role. During this time, counselors often receive supervision, feedback, and may need to complete specific training or certifications. This period helps employers ensure the candidate's skills and approach align with client needs and organizational standards.
