Job description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a self-contained classroom serving grades K-7. This position offers 30 hours per week, working closely with a dedicated educational team within a supportive school environment. If youโ€™re passionate about pediatric speech-language pathology and enjoy collaborating with educators to empower young learners, this role could be a perfect fit.

Ideal candidates bring a commitment to fostering communication skills and have experience or interest in AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices. Recent graduates or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged; supervision from an experienced SLP is available on-site.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masterโ€™s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
  • Clinical Competence Certificate (CCC) preferred, but strong CFY candidates welcome
  • Previous experience with pediatric speech, language, and communication needs
  • Familiarity or experience with AAC devices and technology preferred
  • Understanding of supporting diverse learning and communication styles in a school setting

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy within a self-contained classroom for students in grades K-7
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with staff and families to ensure studentsโ€™ needs are met
  • Document progress and maintain clear records
  • Provide input for IEP development and participate in meetings as appropriate
  • Integrate assistive and augmentative communication systems as needed
