Job description

Job Summary
Skillshot Media is recruiting local Atlanta-area talent for an in-person Live Producer role based at our Uptown Atlanta studio near the MARTA Lindbergh Center station. The Live Producer is responsible for daily planning, production, and show calling of live events related to broadcast operations. This person will make key creative decisions and play a central role in building programming from concept to delivery in partnership with clients.

Key Responsibilities / Duties
  • Deliver live shows from the front bench in studio and/or live event atmospheres
  • Create, iterate, and manage all broadcast documentation and communication
  • Manage all functions of a broadcast show (narrative, video, broadcast, event production) with direct reports, clients, and co-workers
  • Develop workflows and stakeholder responsibilities per Skillshot SOPs
  • Lead and manage internal/external personnel; maintain accountability across show elements (video, audio, engineering, observing, talent, competition coordination, client relations)
  • Communicate, source, and manage equipment, crew, staging, video, lighting, and other event/broadcast-related items
  • Lead the creative broadcast vision and manage esports presentation (graphics package, run of show, promotion, on-screen content/assets, studio sets)
  • Oversee production and editing of content pieces
  • Oversee production of show-related art assets
  • Define graphic, video, media, and general show needs requests
  • Manage crew payments and documents with the Executive Producer and company coordinator
  • Coordinate communication workflows across production; ensure tech, show producers, and operations have timely info
  • Coordinate deadlines within production and with outside departments

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 3+ years managing in-studio and/or live event productions of varying scale
  • 3+ years of end-to-end project ownership from kickoff to delivery
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple departments and key individuals in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with third-party partners and vendors; leading contractor teams
  • Strong knowledge of live events and studio productions
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong attention to detail with deep understanding of broadcasting, production, and crew management
  • Knowledge of current esports trends and general gaming
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Tasks, Keep)
  • Willingness to “come off the island” and collaborate cross-departmentally
  • Ability to function well under pressure during live broadcasts

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
Familiarity with project management tools and best practices (Asana, Jira, Trello, Smartsheet, monday.com)
