Litigation Paralegal Richmond, VA

Sands Anderson is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, technology savvy Litigation Paralegal to join our downtown Richmond office. This position provides substantive support to attorneys through all phases of litigation. The ideal candidate will have personal injury experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Draft, proofread, edit, and cite-check discovery, pleadings, motions, orders, exhibits, and appellate filings
  • Manage e-discovery and support all phases of litigation, including trial preparation and post-trial procedures
  • Electronically file documents with General District Court, Circuit Court, and federal courts
  • Conduct legal research using internal and external databases and summarize findings for attorneys
  • Analyze and monitor case law, legal policies, and legal trends impacting clients
  • Organize and maintain electronic and paper case files using the firms document management systems
  • Communicate with clients, consultants, experts, opposing counsel, and third parties at the direction of attorneys
Skills and Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of e-discovery platforms and litigation technology
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • Advanced PDF skills, including Bates labeling, combining/splitting, optimization, and file management
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree
  • 3+ years of experience in a litigation environment
  • Experience with state administrative law and agencies
