What you'll do:
This role will support the Legal Department in managing Employment and Compliance matters, including the Company's internal whistleblower program. This role is responsible for handling highly sensitive information and requires the utmost discretion. The Compliance and Employment Programs Lead will maintain and manage information, develop processes and systems, and coordinate with internal stakeholders and outside counsel. This role also supports business integration workstreams, information governance processes, and helps the Legal team operate efficiently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as primary manager for internal compliance programs, including the internal whistleblower program, conflicts of interest, and gifts and entertainment disclosure and tracking systems.
  • Manage the internal whistleblower platform by assisting with internal investigations, providing guidance on case management systems and workflows, performing intake, organizing information and records, and reviewing investigative case files.
  • Prepare and produce summaries, reports and presentations, including trend analyses, for senior-level leadership leveraging data analytics and artificial intelligence tools.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and organizing employment-related documents and agreement templates, including relating to hiring, restrictive covenants, retention, and separation.
  • Support compliance and policy initiatives, including reviewing and updating policy and procedure documents, maintaining training/compliance records, creating workflows and playbooks, and preparing internal communications.
  • Support handling of employment-related matters, including intake and tracking of pre-litigation communication, claims, agency charges (e.g., EEOC/state agencies), settlement documentation, and separation agreements.
  • Assist with legal holds, document preservation, and information collection in coordination with IT and business teams.
  • Prepare and organize information request responses, pre-litigation and litigation documentation (e.g., subpoenas, notices, correspondence) and coordinate service, filings, and records retrieval as needed.
  • Support employment litigation and dispute matters by maintaining matter files, tracking key dates and deadlines, and coordinating with outside counsel and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with insurance documentation, claims coordination, and risk management processes.
  • Support the attorneys and the team's Legal Operations Director in continuous improvement of legal operations, document management systems, and workflow efficiencies.

What you'll bring:
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of paralegal or legal analyst experience supporting employment litigation/dispute matters and/or compliance programs, and performing general legal work (in-house, law firm or government experience)
  • 2+ years' experience in a role responsible for data management and data analytics, including designing, creating and producing reports
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information
  • Demonstrated familiarity and fluency with data management and presentation tools including Excel, PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of civil litigation procedures and discovery/e-discovery concepts

Preferred Qualifications
  • In-house Legal Department experience supporting a range of matters employment, compliance, litigation matters (e.g., compliance reporting, investigations, agency charges, personnel file documentation)
  • Experience with compliance program management/technology tools (e.g., HR Acuity; NAVEX, 319 Insight)
  • Demonstrated interest in using and fluency with artificial intelligence tools (e.g., Chat GPT, Harvey, Claude)
  • Paralegal certificate or Project Management certificate
  • Human resources and/or employee relations experience
  • Experience with e-discovery and/or legal technology tools (e.g., Legal Tracker) and e-billing platforms
  • Experience in a high-growth or acquisition-driven organization
  • Familiarity with multi-state employment and compliance considerations and working with cross-functional stakeholders (HR, IT, Finance, Compliance)
