These groups typically represent clients in civil, criminal, or commercial litigation matters, including lawsuits, trials, mediations, and arbitrations. The group consists of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff who focus on litigation strategy, case preparation, and advocacy in front of judges or juries. Their goal is to resolve disputes, protect clients’ interests, and ensure compliance with legal procedures throughout the litigation process.

To thrive in a Litigation Practice Group, you need strong legal research and writing skills, in-depth knowledge of civil procedure, and typically a Juris Doctor (JD) degree with bar admission. Familiarity with legal research databases (like Westlaw or LexisNexis), e-discovery platforms, and case management systems is essential.
