This position may be filled remotely, or in any of our locations.

The Litigation Technology Case Manager position is responsible for working with Attorneys and Paralegals in the overall planning and management of litigation discovery projects. These projects include advising and/or assisting the Attorneys and Paralegals with identification, collection, processing, organization, review and production of data/document collections. Essential job functions include:

  • Work with Attorneys and Paralegals to develop technology solutions to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for case teams regarding database design, document review processes, electronic discovery, legal related software and hardware needs, case management tools and trial support.
  • Define, build requirements, and configure Relativity databases and any other litigation technology related databases. 
  • Prepare and coordinate projects for internal resources including drafting project plans, work orders, processing instructions and specifications.
  • Schedule and coordinate outsourcing of projects to vendors, including preparing and evaluating project specific requests for proposals and preparing statement of work.
  • Provide estimates, schedules and prepare regular status reports for assigned cases.
  • Use of critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities to formulate cost-effective solutions for time-sensitive matters.
  • Communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
  • Must have outstanding Litigation Technology and client relationship-building skills.
  • Overtime may be required to support case-related needs. 
  • Travel required as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • 2year degree required; 4year degree preferred, or significant relevant experience. 
  • 35 years’ experience required, preferably in a professional services or legal environment.
  • Thorough understanding of the litigation process, electronic discovery best practices and the supporting technologies.
  • Experience designing, using and troubleshooting Litigation Support software; Relativity or similar databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to be organized, and detail-oriented; must have the ability to multi-task and adjust to shifting priorities; must work well under tight deadlines and in stressful situations, completing tasks quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently as required.
  • Must be a team player, have ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of personnel, including interpersonal skills are required; ability to cultivate customer, vendor and coworker relationships is essential.

Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:

  • State of Colorado: $71,000 - $126,000
  • State of Illinois: $69,000 - $135,000
  • State of Massachusetts: $77,000 - $147,000
  • State of Maryland: $74,000 - $113,000
  • State of Minnesota: $77,000 - $127,000
  • Jersey City, NJ: $83,000 - $151,000
  • State of New York: $71,000 - $154,000
  • State of Vermont: $76,000 - $146,000
  • State of Washington: $74,000 - $141,000
  • Washington, D.C.: $99,000 - $146,000

The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, however bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed, and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
