CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant for an established full-service law firm in Houston, TX. This position plays a key role in supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process by preparing legal documents, coordinating court filings, managing attorney calendars and critical deadlines, assisting with discovery, and providing high-level legal administrative support.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal secretary or legal administrative assistant who already understands litigation procedures and can step into a busy law firm environment with minimal ramp-up.


Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys handling litigation matters.
  • Prepare, revise, proofread, and format pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Coordinate court filings and maintain associated filing requirements and deadlines.
  • Manage attorney calendars, litigation deadlines, hearings, depositions, meetings, and other scheduled matters.
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of discovery-related documents and materials.
  • Monitor critical litigation deadlines and help ensure filings and other requirements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Organize and maintain case files, matter-related documents, correspondence, and administrative records.
  • Coordinate meetings, communications, and other administrative needs for assigned attorneys.
  • Provide proactive legal administrative support throughout the litigation process.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, organization, and professionalism.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant, Litigation Legal Secretary, or similar legal support professional within a law firm.
  • Strong hands-on experience supporting litigation attorneys and litigation matters.
  • Working knowledge of pleadings, discovery, court filings, calendaring, litigation deadlines, and the overall litigation process.
  • Ability to step into the position with an established foundation of litigation knowledge and work independently with minimal training.
  • Strong legal document preparation, formatting, proofreading, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced law firm environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience working with legal technology.
  • Demonstrated employment stability and longevity in previous positions strongly preferred.
