Wilson Sonsini is looking for a Senior Paralegal for our Litigation group to reside in our Salt Lake City, Utah office. This role will support attorneys in all aspects of litigation, with a focus on complex civil and corporate litigation matters.
This position is available as a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with gathering and compiling support documents for filings
  • Assist attorneys with preparing and filing pleadings and other court documents in various jurisdictions across state and federal courts, including appellate courts
  • Assist with Bluebook formatting, cite-checking, and shepardizing case law
  • Familiarity with civil procedures and local, state and federal court rules
  • Ability to perform docket and legal research in Lexis, Westlaw, SEC, PACER, and similar resources
  • Assist with the collection, review, production, and organization of discovery materials
  • Proficiency with eDiscovery platforms (e.g., Relativity), and ability to supervise vendor work
  • Manage discovery responses, subpoenas, and deposition preparation
  • Prepare and maintain various indices and logs for case teams related to discovery and other chronologies
  • Manage case calendars and deadlines (as a supplement to the calendar department)
  • Assist with hearing/trial preparation and logistics, including preparation of witness files, management of exhibits, setting up trial space, and attending trial in-person, as required
  • Interacting with clients, expert witnesses, consultants, opposing counsel and court clerks

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal is required
  • A college degree and/or paralegal certificate is required
  • Stellar project management and organizational skills
  • Great attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Good judgment, intuition and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable and dependable

The primary location for this job posting is in Salt Lake City. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows: $53.50 - $72.38 per hour.
The compensation for this position may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
