JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client, a well-established suburban Chicago law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 3+ years of litigation experience to join its established and growing litigation practice.

The ideal candidate will come from a small to midsize law firm environment and be comfortable taking meaningful responsibility for litigation matters. The firm's diverse caseload includes commercial and business litigation, estate and trust controversies, employment matters, and general civil disputes.

This position offers hands-on litigation and courtroom experience with the opportunity to continue developing advocacy skills within a respected boutique practice.



Key Responsibilities

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
  • Conduct and manage discovery
  • Perform legal research and analysis
  • Handle hearings and other courtroom matters
  • Participate in trial preparation
  • Work directly with attorneys and clients on complex disputes
  • Manage matters with an appropriate level of independence
  • Collaborate with members of the litigation team
  • Provide responsive, professional, and client-focused representation



Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active Illinois Bar license
  • 3+ years of litigation experience
  • Small/midsize law firm experience strongly preferred

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
