Job description

Direct Counsel is representing a reputable law firm seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join its growing Litigation Practice in Minneapolis.


Location
  • Minneapolis, MN (Onsite)

About the Role

This opportunity is ideal for a litigation associate with 3–5 years of experience who is looking to work on sophisticated, high-stakes litigation matters within a nationally recognized platform. The practice handles a broad range of complex disputes, including corporate trust and structured products litigation, financial services litigation, white collar matters, internal investigations, products liability, mass torts, environmental litigation, and appellate work.


Responsibilities
  • Research, analyze, and draft briefs involving complex litigation matters
  • Handle sophisticated motion practice, including:
    • Motions to dismiss
    • Summary judgment motions
    • Class certification motions
    • Writs and appeals
  • Support litigation matters in both state and federal court
  • Collaborate with attorneys on high-level litigation strategy and case management
  • Work on complex disputes across multiple industries and practice areas

Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of litigation experience
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Experience drafting briefs and handling sophisticated legal issues in complex litigation
  • Excellent academic credentials and strong attention to detail required
  • Judicial clerkship experience is a plus
  • Must be admitted to the Minnesota Bar or eligible for admission as soon as practicable

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary Range: $215,000 – $285,000 annually
