Job description

We are looking for a Senior Litigation Associate to join a legal team handling high-stakes real estate disputes in New York, New York. This opportunity is suited to an attorney who can drive matters forward from early case assessment through resolution while producing strong written work and sound strategic analysis. The role offers meaningful courtroom exposure and close collaboration with clients and firm leadership on complex litigation matters.
Responsibilities:
• Lead real estate litigation matters through all phases of the case lifecycle, from initial evaluation and filings to settlement or final adjudication.
• Prepare persuasive pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, and internal legal analyses with a high standard of accuracy and advocacy.
• Perform in-depth legal research and translate findings into practical case strategies and recommendations.
• Represent clients in New York state and federal court proceedings, including status conferences, hearings, and motion appearances.
• Direct discovery activities by managing document review, coordinating depositions, drafting discovery demands and responses, and working with expert witnesses as needed.
• Partner with senior attorneys and clients to shape litigation strategy, assess risk, and pursue favorable business and legal outcomes.

• At least 5 years of litigation experience, including substantial work on real estate-related disputes.

• Active admission in both New York and New Jersey is required.

• Prior experience appearing before New York state and federal courts.

• Strong legal research, analytical reasoning, and clear, detail-focused writing capabilities.

• Background in one or more relevant areas such as construction disputes, foreclosure matters, or real estate contract and purchase conflicts.

• Ability to manage multiple active matters efficiently in a fast-paced legal environment.

• Trial experience is advantageous but not required.
