We are seeking a dynamic, ambitious, and experienced Permanent Attorney - First Party to join our thriving Legal team. As a Permanent Attorney - First Party, you will be responsible for:
1. Handling a wide variety of first party claims and litigation matters, including but not limited to, general liability defense, product liability, and premises liability defense.
2. Conducting thorough and detailed legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing legal opinions and advice.
3. Representing clients in court, presenting evidence to defend clients in civil litigation, and managing and directing cases to settlement or trial.
4. Interacting with clients, claim professionals, underwriting, risk control, and other parties involved in the legal process.
5. Negotiating settlements for legal disputes and managing all aspects of litigation, including the discovery process, trial preparation, and post-trial work.
6. Continuously updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a member in good standing with the Florida State Bar.
3. Minimum 2+ years of experience in first party claims, general liability defense litigation, insurance, defense, products liability, and premises liability defense.
4. Demonstrated ability to manage a large caseload, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure.
5. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, colleagues, and the general public.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
7. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
8. Ability to work independently, but also cooperatively and efficiently as part of a team.
9. Commitment to maintaining the highest level of professional and ethical standards.
