Litigation Associate Attorney (Mid-Level)

Location: Wilmington, DE

A leading global law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney with approximately 4–6 years of litigation experience to join its Wilmington Litigation practice, with a strong focus on Delaware Court of Chancery matters.

This is an opportunity to join one of the most prominent Delaware-focused litigation teams, known for handling high-stakes corporate and commercial disputes for major public companies, boards, and financial institutions.

Position Overview

The Wilmington Litigation group focuses on complex civil litigation at the trial and appellate levels, with a particular emphasis on matters before the Delaware Court of Chancery. The practice handles sophisticated corporate governance and fiduciary duty disputes that frequently involve high-profile companies and significant business impact.

Attorneys in this group gain exposure to some of the most influential corporate litigation in the country, including matters involving boards, special committees, and shareholder disputes.

Responsibilities
  • Handle complex commercial and corporate litigation matters in state and federal courts
  • Focus on Delaware Court of Chancery proceedings, including fiduciary duty disputes
  • Work on class actions, derivative actions, and shareholder litigation
  • Assist with special committee representations and corporate governance matters
  • Conduct motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
  • Draft briefs, pleadings, and litigation strategy memoranda
  • Support bankruptcy-related litigation and corporate valuation disputes
  • Collaborate with attorneys across offices on complex litigation matters
  • Manage components of cases with increasing autonomy
Qualifications
  • 4–6 years of litigation experience at a law firm
  • Strong experience with Delaware Court of Chancery matters strongly preferred
  • Background in complex commercial, corporate, or securities litigation
  • Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage complex litigation matters in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of academic achievement and prior large law firm experience preferred
  • Active membership in the Delaware Bar or willingness to obtain as required
Compensation

The expected base salary range for this position is $310,000 – $390,000 annually, with eligibility for a discretionary year-end bonus. Compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and other job-related factors consistent with applicable law.
