Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in all phases of civil litigation. The Litigation Paralegal will manage case files, draft and file pleadings, coordinate discovery, and assist with trial preparation to ensure efficient case progression and strong client service. The ideal candidate has litigation experience and a paralegal credential, with preference given to candidates who have handled personal injury or employment law matters.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and organize case files, maintain calendaring systems, and ensure timely filing of documents with courts and agencies.
- Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, briefs, subpoenas, and correspondence in accordance with court rules and attorney direction.
- Coordinate and manage discovery processes including preparing responses, collecting and reviewing documents, drafting interrogatories and requests for production, and managing e-discovery platforms.
- Prepare trial materials and exhibits, assist with witness preparation, coordinate logistics for depositions and hearings, and attend court proceedings as needed.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, medical providers, and expert witnesses to obtain and exchange information and to schedule interviews, depositions, and hearings.
- Conduct legal research, fact-checking, and summarize deposition transcripts, medical records, and other evidence for attorney review.
- Assist with settlement negotiations by preparing demand packages, damages calculations, and settlement documents and supporting attorneys during negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with firm procedures and local, state, and federal court rules; maintain confidentiality and professional standards in client interactions.
Qualifications
- Paralegal certification or degree from an accredited program and 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in civil litigation procedures, document drafting, court filing, and discovery management.
- Strong knowledge of litigation case management, calendaring, and e-filing systems (e.g., PACER, state e-file portals) and proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience preparing trial exhibits, witness materials, and coordinating depositions and hearings.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and maintain strict client confidentiality.
- Nice to have: experience handling Personal Injury matters and/or Employment Law cases, including familiarity with related medical records, damages calculations, and settlement processes.
