Job description

In-house litigation department of Fidelity National Financial, a Fortune 500 Company, is seeking a full time, experienced paralegal/litigation assistant for our trial team of attorneys in the North Bethesda, Maryland office. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in litigation, including pleadings, discovery, document control, document filing, legal research, and trial support.


Candidates must: have a minimum of 3 years of substantive experience in civil litigation. This role requires a candidate willing to undertake both administrative tasks and substantive litigation support. Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, understanding of technology, curiosity, and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are essential. Real Estate (title/escrow) and insurance defense experience in Maryland, Virginia and DC are a plus.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support to trial attorneys in all phases of litigation throughout MD, DC, VA circuit and federal courts.
  • Prepare, review, and manage legal documents and correspondence.
  • Assist with case management, including filing and organizing case files.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
  • Schedule and coordinate depositions, hearings, and meetings.
  • Manage attorney calendars and ensure timely follow-up on deadlines.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, copying, data entry, supply ordering and invoice processing.


Hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, M – F, with some flexibility for remote work days.

Compensation and Benefits

$30.00 - $35.00 hourly rate based on job-related factors such as skillset and experience. The base compensation is one component of the total rewards package offered to our employees, including optional health and welfare insurance (medical/dental/vision/life/disability); paid holidays, vacation, and sick time off; and matching 401(k) plan and matching employee stock purchase plan.
