As a Lithographic Printer, your daily responsibilities include setting up and operating lithography presses, preparing printing plates, mixing and matching inks, and monitoring quality throughout production runs. You'll frequently troubleshoot issues like color inconsistencies, machine malfunctions, or material defects, requiring both technical skill and quick thinking. Working alongside press assistants, graphic designers, and production managers is common, as jobs often need coordination to meet tight deadlines. One of the key challenges in this role is maintaining consistent print quality while meeting production targets, but this also provides great opportunities to develop expertise and advance into supervisory or technical specialist positions.
