Job description

PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT

MUST BE A GRADUATE OF AN ACCREDITED PROGRAM AS A PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT PTA,ย  HAVE TAKEN THE NPTE EXAM OR ELIGIBLE TO TAKE IT AND HAVE A STATE LICENSE TO PRACTICE AS ONE OR ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR ONE.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assesses the needs of residents with physical therapy needs and matches their needs with services available. Meets with residents regularly according to treatment program schedule, evaluates, and maintains records of residents' progress under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.

Keeps current with professional literature and attends seminars on a regular basis to maintain and update professional skills and licensure.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Hearing ability sufficient to evaluate residents' occupational therapy needs.

Skill communicating verbally and in writing with residents, staff and family members under the supervision of the Physical Therapist so that all parties understand the program and the degree of progress being made.
