What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating our CNC Mills to produce high-quality, precision components. Your day-to-day will include:
· Setup & Operation: Load blueprints, install fixtures, set machine offsets, and select the correct tooling for complex setups.
· Quality Control: Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and GD&T principles to ensure parts meet tight tolerances (up to [e.g., ±0.0005”]).
· Optimization: Monitor machine performance, recognize tool wear, and make necessary speed/feed adjustments or offset changes.
· Collaboration: Work alongside engineering and programming teams to troubleshoot setups and streamline production runs.
· Safety First: Maintain a clean, safe workstation and follow standard safety protocols.
What We’re Looking For (Requirements)
· Experience: [e.g., 3+ years] of proven experience setting up and operating CNC [Mills / Multi-Axis] machines.
· Blueprint Literacy: Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints and manufacturing drawings.
· Own Tools: Calipers, micrometers, indicator, parallels.
· G/M Code Knowledge: Basic understanding of G-code and M-code to safely navigate programs and make minor edits at the controller (e.g., Haas, Fadal, Mighty Viper).
· Precision Tooling: Proficient with standard inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges).
· Soft Skills: A strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and a team-player attitude.
Bonus Points If You Have:
· Experience with multi-axis machining (4 or 5-axis).
· Experience with programming software (WorkNC, etc.).
· A background in [specific material, e.g., titanium, Inconel, plastics].
