Job Overview:

The cashier/stocker will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while ensuring the store remains well stocked and organized. The cashier/stocker will handle cash register operations, assist customers with purchases, verify IDs for alcohol sales, and help maintain a clean and welcoming shopping environment.ย

Job Description:

  • Following ย ย ย ย ย Company's Customer Relations Philosophy. Paying whole attention to the ย ย ย ย ย customer's needs first and secondary tasks can wait.
  • Understand ย ย ย ย ย and comply with management's directions and guidelines within guidelines ย ย ย ย ย of company's policy and procedures.
  • Apprise ย ย ย ย ย store management of all sales, cash and/or operational discrepancies.
  • Prepare ย ย ย ย ย shift-change report at completion of shift and minimize cashier's errors.
  • Accurately ย ย ย ย ย post all markups, markdowns, store use of merchandise, voids, and bad ย ย ย ย ย merchandise write offs.
  • Advice ย ย ย ย ย management of any situations or policy violations has an adverse effect on ย ย ย ย ย the store's operating performance, including maintenance problems.
  • Keep ย ย ย ย ย coolers, merchandise shelves fully stocked and always fronted.
  • Able ย ย ย ย ย to lift 20-50lbs at any given time.
  • Stand ย ย ย ย ย for an 8-hour shift
  • Properly ย ย ย ย ย clean and maintain equipment, floors, and restrooms. Make sure the ย ย ย ย ย register area is clean, free of any personal belongings, displays are ย ย ย ย ย unblocked, operable and pointed at the customer.
  • Adhere ย ย ย ย ย to all cities, county, state, and federal regulations.
  • Use ย ย ย ย ย up-selling techniques and properly up selling products that complement ย ย ย ย ย customer purchases.
  • Understand ย ย ย ย ย that customers are the reason we are in business and treat them with ย ย ย ย ย excellent services and pleasant greetings and smiles before and after the ย ย ย ย ย transaction checkouts.ย 

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High ย ย ย ย ย School Diploma or GED
  • 21 ย ย ย ย ย years of age or older to be cashier
  • 18 ย ย ย ย ย years of age or older to be stocker
  • Be ย ย ย ย ย able to obtain a TAM and Health Card
  • Be ย ย ย ย ย able to obtain a Non-Gaming Card in some locations
  • Pass ย ย ย ย ย Drug Screen and Background Check
