Job description

You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/INFOSEC) in the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT of JOINT TYPHOON WARCEN PEARL HARBOR HI.Qualifications:To qualify for a GS-11, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience serving as a system administrator for application systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux workstations and servers.
  • Experience installing software similar to Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers and workstations.
  • Experience applying DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) as in to Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
  • Experience planning, scheduling and participating in the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems and applications software.
  • Experience managing user and administrator accounts, network permissions, and access to systems and equipment.
  • Experience resolving hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.
  • Experience managing the installation and integration of systems fixes, updates, and enhancements including Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM), Computer Network Directives (CND), and additional authoritative guidance.
  • Experience in learning and utilizing information technology (IT) concepts, principles, methods, and practices.
  • Experience in administering systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 or greater, VMware vSphere 7.0 or greater, and Junos OS.

4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
