Systems Administrator
ActioNet is looking for a System Administrator role that provides hands-on technical support in a classified environment, responsible for installing, configuring, securing, and maintaining Windows and Linux systems, networks, and associated hardware and software. This role emphasizes scripting and automation to streamline system administration tasks across mission-critical environments. The position includes building systems from bare metal, managing authentication services, performing backups, monitoring security events, troubleshooting failures across multiple sites, and ensuring compliance with DoD and Intelligence Community security standards. The administrator contributes to documentation, automation, and performance optimization while supporting infrastructure-as-code tools. Strong customer engagement, communication, and the ability to prioritize workloads are essential. The role requires onsite support 90% of the time, limited travel, U.S. citizenship, and an active TS/SCI (eligible for CI Poly).

Requirements
  • Work directly with customers in a technical role
  • Responsible for asset installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure
  • Configure and manage operating systems (Windows and Linux), applications, networks, and network equipment
  • Build systems from bare metal aligned with accredited baselines
  • Configure and manage DOD and IC standard distributed authentication services
  • Develop and maintain scripts using Bash, PowerShell, and Python to automate system administration tasks
  • Perform security monitoring, backups, file archival, and system recovery
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues across multiple sites
  • Document procedures and contribute technical content and tutorials
