Job description

A3T is looking for a CDES Application Administrator  to support our team in execution of application support, security and administration to a federal government agency and its mission partners.

A3T’s CDES Application Administrator (CAA) Cross Domain Enterprise Solution (CDES) Application Administrator supports our team in execution of application support, security and administration to a federal government agency and its mission partners.  

Job Duties: 

  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain current CDES application. 

  • Monitor Linux system activity utilizing Government provided tools and address any errors or system anomalies IAW DoD and DISA Instructions, Policies and Directives. 

  • Provide technical oversight of Linux systems. 

  • Analyze, monitor, troubleshoot, and diagnose Linux platforms to ensure product optimization, integrity, availability, compatibility, and functionality are within DoD and DISA instructions, policy and directives. 

  • Perform trend analysis of Linux systems including system performance, recommend configuration or procedural changes, and participate in Linux systems planning. 

  • Use Government provided ticket management system to properly document and resolve problems. 

  • Interact/coordinate with DISA service desks, technical staff, and customers to resolve technical problems. 

  • Document Linux systems administration processes, procedures, and activities. 

  • Provide support for DISA Linux systems disaster recovery efforts (real or simulated). 

  • Handle documents according to DoD and DISA Instructions, Policies and Directives. 

  • Adhere to all Government security requirements, processes, and regulations. 

  • Perform Linux scripting to automate or semi automate systems’ administrative tasks. 

  • Exhibit professional interpersonal skills to include written and oral communications. 

Qualifications: 

  • Secret Clearance required 

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience working as system or application administrator in a LINUX environment 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an IT-related field (or 6 years of experience in related field) OR have a Vendor Certification (Professional or higher) 

  • Have a baseline IAT Level II certification IAW DOD 8570.01-M (Security+ or higher) 

  • Able to obtain and maintain a Computing Environment (CE) certification within 6 months of start date
