Company Description

Republic has 90 Linux servers, however they are all custom built and have custom configurations. Unlike the larger environments where a Linux admin is able to administrate hundreds or thousands of Linux servers using automation tools, that approach will not work here because our servers are not all the same.
Republic's environment they are looking for someone that has the Linux skills to work with individual Linux servers one at a time, and have in depth experience with command line tools to make individual adjustments.

Job Description

System administrator to join our Infrastructure team. This position is 75% Linux administration and 25% Windows administration.
We are recruiting for a RedHat Linux Administrator with 6 of more years of experience, who is well-rounded in other aspects of Infrastructure (i.e. backups, VMware).
Serves as high level escalation point for issues, and is a self-starter with demonstrated initiative to run projects and provide ideas, insight and solutions.
We are 98% virtualized with VMware ESXi 6.0. The company culture is very friendly with a lot of longevity on the team and at Republic.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
We are seeking a dynamic Systems Administrator with VMware experience in a highly virtual environment. This person should have expert knowledge in the following areas and should be able to work with a small established team:
RedHat RHEL
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and 2012
Active Directory
VMware ESXi 6.0
Scripting experience
Knowledge of Apache, Websphere and Tomcat
Great communication and customer service skills
Backup is a plus
Storage is a plus
Team fit is key for this position
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent.
Experience: 6 or more years of related experience.
