Your role and responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced IT Security Consultant/Linux Systems Administrator to join our team on site in Williston, VT. This role involves maintaining, securing, and enhancing enterprise Linux systems in a multi-site, High-Performance Computing (HPC) environment while supporting semiconductor manufacturing operations and AI/ML workloads.
The ideal candidate brings strong Red Hat Linux experience, practical use of various security and automation tools, and the ability to operate in a controlled, compliance-driven environment. The candidate will also have had exposure to GPU-enabled infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Install, configure, maintain, and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems across on-site infrastructure.
  • Ensure systems are securely configured, patched, and monitored in accordance with organizational and government standards.
  • Use automation tools and scripts to standardize system configuration and reduce manual effort.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and availability; troubleshoot and resolve issues proactively.
  • Utilize security tools to identify vulnerabilities, evaluate risk, and apply remediation.
  • Respond to system and security incidents, coordinating with appropriate stakeholders..
  • Support the introduction and operationalization of new technologies, including GPU-enabled servers.
  • Support the introduction and operation of AI/ML and GPU enabled technologies within the HPC environments.
  • Collaborate with Information Assurance (IA) and engineering teams to meet evolving compute and security needs.

  • Experience using Red Hat-associated tools (eg: Ansible, Satellite, Insights, or similar automation and lifecycle management tools).
  • Experience working in data center, compute cluster, or high-performance computing environments.
  • Familiarity with security monitoring, vulnerability scanning, and SIEM platforms.
  • Experience automating administrative tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Exposure to GPU-enabled systems, including basic installation, driver management, and operational support.
  • Understanding of Linux-based compute workloads that benefit from accelerators (GPU, high-memory, parallel workloads).
  • Experience operating in a regulated environment with formal security and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Preferred technical and professional experience
Must be able to obtain a CompTIA Security+ within 6 months of hire and an ISC2 CISSP within 1 year.
