Job description

The F-35 FMS System Administrators are responsible for conducting technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to JSF Pilot and Maintainer Training Devices in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. This position will be located at Eielson AFB, AK. The successful candidate will act as part of the Delaware Resource Group technical interface to the on-site customer (Operations and Maintenance) in resolving issues arising from maintenance or modification activities for all matters dealing with the F-35 aircraft. The preferred candidate will be Mission Systems (MS) or be an emerging authority who has the skill set to accomplish troubleshooting and analysis of Air Vehicle Systems (AVS/Mission) Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoots technical problems and issues with the training devices.
  • Determines technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications.
  • Recommend actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution.
  • Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives.
  • Readies training devices for customer use and assists with mission specific preparations,
  • Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization.
  • Additional duties and related responsibilities as identified and assigned.
  • Attending debriefings as required to aid in the rapid identification of emerging issues that would require company intervention to avoid aircraft downtime.
  • Fully and completely document all unusual operational/maintenance problems to support identifying emerging failure trends.
  • Initiate Action Requests (ARs).
  • Identify unique operational problems that require technical, procedural or quality assurance actions to resolve.
  • Provide on-site assistance to company and customer personnel initiating ARs.
  • Provide training to customer personnel.
  • Must be willing to work and interact with all levels of personnel from maintainer communities to engineers and other companies.
  • Candidates must be able to work with and communicate well both orally and written in a team environment as this position involves significant interface with customer personnel at all levels.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter and have the ability to establish and maintain a library of technical documentation.
  • Manage and track multiple engineering and logistic support activities, providing periodic status to the customer and program management team.

Required Qualifications/Experience:
  • Appropriate degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
  • Security Plus certificate will be REQUIRED.
  • Technical Report writing
  • Experience with drawing/schematics reading and interpretation.
  • Fault Isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub-system level
  • Airframe & Power plant (A&P) license
  • Military Fighter Aircraft experience
  • Knowledge of CATIA & System/Software Engineering Environment (S/SEE)
  • Previous Field Service FSE/REP experience
  • Vehicle Systems (APG)/Avionics experience F-22 or F-35

Security Responsibilities
This position is located at a facility that will require special access clearance
  • Must have an active secret clearance with a completed investigation within the last 6 years.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must be able to attain and maintain F-35 Special Access Program (SAP) access.
  • Candidates must have a final/transferable DoD Secret security clearance.

  • Must be able to calculate figures and numbers, and percentages and be able to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.
