Intermediate Linux System AdministratorWork Location: On-site (no remote support)Clearance: TS clearance required; must be eligible for SCI accessTravel: Occasional travel required, including an initial one-week training trip at the start of performanceAnticipated Start Date: September 2026 (subject to contract award and program timelines)Period of Performance: Initial one-year period with potential for follow-on support based on program requirements.Position OverviewSeeking an Intermediate Linux System Administrator to support the administration and maintenance of an operational Cross Domain Solution (CDS) environment. Responsibilities include routine monitoring and maintenance of systems, implementation of updates and tasking requirements, and providing break/fix support as needed to maintain operational availability.Note: This position includes an expectation of occasional after-hours or weekend support in the event of critical system issues. This is not a 24/7 on-call requirement. Availability and planned absences can be coordinated with program leadership. Historical after-hours support requirements have averaged approximately four hours per month.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Monitoring and Log ManagementSystem Maintenance and SecurityUser Support and Account ManagementEndpoint, Bridge Server, and Data Flow AdministrationRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or CompTIA Security+ certificationTraining in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)Minimum of three years of experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux environmentsKnowledge of Apache NiFi components and configurationTS clearance with SCI eligibilityRoutine work within sensitive compartmented environments may be required.Candidates must be eligible to meet background investigation requirements applicable to privileged system administrators.Ability to travel for periodic training and support requirementsPreferred QualificationsExperience administering Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)Familiarity with secure data transfer and information-sharing environmentsNote: Direct CDS administration experience is preferred but not required. Specialized training will be provided to support administration and maintenance of the CDS environment and associated procedures.
