Job Summary:
MDAEdge is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure & Data Center Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating system installation, data center operations, networking, virtualization, and server hardware provisioning, while working independently and collaborating across teams to resolve technical challenges efficiently.
Responsibilities:
• Install and configure Windows Server, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
• Manage data center operations and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
• Deploy and maintain virtualization technologies across platforms.
• Handle networking tasks, including rack setup, cabling, and deployment of Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment.
• Provision and configure Client and AMD servers, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
• Perform hardware troubleshooting, testing, and quality assurance for server components.
• Resolve hardware issues professionally via trouble ticketing systems (e.g., GitLab).
• Maintain cabling infrastructure, including port mapping and cable type identification.
• Administer Linux systems, including scripting for automation and optimization.
• Support web server and database installations (preferred but not required).
• Conduct basic lab administration and hands-on lab activities.
• Manage asset tracking and ticket handling within GitLab.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with executives, customers, and partners, navigating potential roadblocks.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Security, or a related field (strongly preferred)

• Hands-on experience in data center operations and server hardware provisioning (Client & AMD)
