Job description

Our Cambridge based pharmaceutical client is looking for a Sr. Copywriter with a focus on social media content for an immediate ongoing contract that is project based and will have fluctuating hours. You'll own content across Facebook, X, and Instagram and the client is looking for previous experience working in the pharma industry and ideally from an agency.
Ideally looking for a Copywriter to translate complex scientific data, clinical trial results, and disease-state insights into compelling, high-impact social media content.
You will work closely with medical and regulatory teams to ensure every post is scientifically accurate, fully referenced, and compliant with FDA and MLR (Medical, Legal, Regulatory) guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
  • Craft high-density, peer-to-peer social copy, long-form LinkedIn articles, and script concepts for educational video content.
  • Distill complex clinical data, efficacy charts, safety profiles, and MOA (Mechanism of Action) details into easily consumed social content and formats.
  • Prepare and annotate copy for the MLR review process, ensuring 100% accuracy with medical references and fair balance guidelines.
  • Optimize content specifically for professional platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and Facebook, tailoring messaging to distinct medical specialties.
  • Partner with the Communications and Brand team on campaigns

Experience
  • 7+ years of healthcare/pharma copywriting experience, with a heavy emphasis on B2B or HCP-targeted marketing.
  • Strong familiarity with FDA guidelines for prescription drug promotion, disease-state awareness campaigns, and fair balance requirements.
