Job description

Scope of Position
The Linen Runner is responsible for transporting clean linen to the storage rooms on each floor. Replenish linens in the linen rooms based on the amount required for each floor as noted. Clean and organize items stored in linen and or supply/storage room while approaching all encounters with guests and fellow Associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Position Requirements
  • Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment.
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs.
  • Adhere to safety, rules and company policies.
  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling, cleaning techniques and use of equipment/ machinery.

Responsibilities
  • Sort, clean and dirty, hotel linen according to type, color, size.
  • Sort food and beverage linen.
  • Take daily count of all hotel linens.
  • Check count against linen requisitions.
  • Drive company truck to pick up distribute throughout the hotel buildings.
  • Comply with standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Able to perform duties of House Attendant, when needed.
  • Other duties as required.

Education
  • High school diploma; experience in a large hotel environment, preferred.

Skills and Abilities
  • Able to communicate in the English language (Second language is a plus).
  • Able to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Able to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends.
  • Able to perform multiple tasks.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be physically fit in order to lift, pull and push items up to 100 pounds.
  • Also requires standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift (up to 8 hours).
