Job description


The Linen Distribution Technician operates the hospital linen room functions and delivers clean linen to designated stocking locations throughout the hospital. The position creates and fills linen orders using a tablet and/or paper order sheet and documents linen usage with a cloud based linen software program.
Responsibilities
  • Completes assigned job duties including delivering of clean linen in a neat and orderly fashion, accurately records inventories and quantities of linen, and organizes and keeps the linen storage areas clean.
  • Tracks inventory exchange carts and builds back to prescribed par levels. Transports carts to designated areas in a safe manner.
  • Collects and returns clean, unused, rejected linen from the clean linen areas to the main clean linen room for return for credit.
  • Proficienty in recording data utilizing the appropriate method (i.e., tablets and order sheets).
  • Observes, records, and reports to a linen leader any instances of linen abuse and poor utilization.
  • Receives customer calls for service, recording the nature of the call, and satisfying the requests of the call in a timely and professional manner.
  • Keeps work area clean and organized.
