Job Summary
Radiation Therapist Specialist position located out the new Milman-Kover Cancer Pavilion in Sarasota, FL (Sarasota Memorial Hospital's campus).
$7,500 hiring bonus available.
The Radiation Therpist Specialist provides radiation therapy support based on designated treatment plans under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist. Supports the equipment, technology, software and procedures utilized in the cancer pavilion, including HDR/Brachytherapy, Edge linear accelerator, Stereotactic Radiosurgery Cones and Align Radiation Therapy.
Required Qualifications
- Require graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy Program.
- Require current/active State of Florida Radiologic Technologist licensure.
Require training and competencies in the following specialties, or completion within one year of hire: - QA/Procedures for HDR/Brachytherapy - Edge linear accelerator - Stereotactic Radiosurgery Cones - Align RT, Sim RT, MAP RT and Dose RT
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer a minimum of one (1) year as a clinical Radiation Therapist.
- Prefer experience with Varian equipment (True Beam and Aria).
Required License and Certs
ARRT: Amer Reg Rad Technologist
BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
Our Rad Oncology departements are open Mon - Friday. No weekends or holidays.
