Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital opened on Jan. 24, 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital. Today, the hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital has 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows. Corewell is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, with more than 1,400 Beaumont doctors on faculty.
Scope of Work
Participates in a structured CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics Residency Program. Under the supervision of board-certified medical physicists, the resident develops clinical competency in medical physics, radiation safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. The residency provides progressive clinical responsibility in a high-volume, multi-site healthcare environment, preparing the resident for independent practice and eligibility for American Board of Radiology (ABR) certification in Medical Physics.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree or equivalent. Medical Physics or related field from a CAMPEP-accredited program (or equivalent with CAMPEP certificate) Required.
  • Prior experience in medical physics (diagnostic imaging, nuclear medicine or radiation therapy) through internship, practicum or research Preferred
  • CRT-Diagnostic Medical Physics-ABR-American Board of Radiology Upon Hire Preferred
