Job description

The Supplier Quality Vehicle Line (SQVL) manages new, mid-cycle and carryover vehicle programs that are manufactured in North America (NA). This position is responsible for ensuring key quality milestones/goals are met for all supplier components involved. This individual will work cross functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Purchasing through the full life cycle of components. This includes, but is not limited to early source package approvals, supplier eligibility, supplier selection, launch phase and into production.
The SQVL is considered the primary SQ contact for the vehicle program and all launch readiness activities and daily launch meetings. The SQVL will work directly with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality to ensure proper follow-up of launch issues.
We are seeking candidates qualified for the role and who are able to develop, present, and explain program status updates to senior leadership, manage multiple individual work teams, work globally, and are recognized as strong communicators.
Additional job responsibilities for this position may include but not limited to the following:
  • Collect, coordinate and present program level status updates on Supplier Quality activities for designated programs
  • Work with suppliers and STELLANTIS manufacturing plant personnel on issue resolution
  • Educate STELLANTIS plant staff on STELLANTIS Supplier Quality systems as required
  • Manage Supplier Quality program reporting requirements for program reviews
  • Manage program risk assessment summaries
  • Manage the production part approval process (PPAP
  • Facilitate the deployment of safe launch strategies/problem resolution reviews and facilitate early sourcing process and supplier selection
  • This position will also be supporting the Windsor Assembly Plant
  • Managing SQ deliverables for the RU and LB programs

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university; a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Chemical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Mechatronics may also be considered
  • 8 or more years of work experience in Supplier Quality, Product Quality, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
  • Ability to travel up to 30% within the N.A. region and globally as required
  • Daily onsite support at Assembly plant from early pilot phase through SOPM
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite software
  • Program management work experience
  • Demonstrate skills in cross-cultural awareness, leadership, communication, influence, negotiation, and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrate ability to build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with customers at multiple levels, including those external to the organization

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree, Green Belt or Black Belt skills/certification (Red X/Shainin) Quality certification
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
  • Creative problem-solving ability and results orientation, comfortable with complex technical analysis
